So far I haven't receive FingerPrint notice yet.

My I485 was submitted on November 2003, so far I haven't received any FP notice yet. So questions here:

1. Is FP very slow now? how am I going to check the FP processing time?

2. If INS issues a FP, can I find it in their web by my case number? My trust for my company-hired lawyer is below freezing point.

Thanks a lot!

1. No idea. There may not be any pattern . Just wait for your time. It might come within next 2 months
2. If you register on INS website, you can verify if the last status date has changed. If it changes, then contact lawyer. I agree that 90% of the people feel the same way about lawyers as you do.

Be patient since this actually might work to your advantage. I believe someone here (I know I read this myself somewhere) has talked about the new policy for fingerprinting for I485 cases: the date of fingerprinting might be increasingly based on the current processing times. In other words, having a late first fingerprint might eliminate the need for a second or third one.

So, I think, providing your application has not been genuinely misplaced, that you are actually in a very good position.

Getting sick of my 2nd FP wait?? I dontknow How long i have to wait for it

There are issuing FP for Jun'03 cases

My RD is Jul 10th. and I'm waiting here too.. I'm constantly checking some case no.s that are one or two months, before me. I found that most of Jun 17th RD guys got thier FP notices on or around March/April'04 and they done thier FP's on May 3rd or May 16th. (May'03 RD guys done thoer FP's in March'04) so, I'm expecting mine in next month or two and Nov'03 guys can relax for another 3-4 months..

FP status

USCIS used to send FP1 bulk notices until Feb-March this year, after that there were only sporadic things. One reason can be the fact that they were sending FP2 for ppl with FP1 expired. I've seen approvals soon after FP2 was done, that makes sense. Other thing that I noticed is that many aplications change from "Received" directly to "FP received" so they don't update the online system in real time, so better check with your lawyer to see if he received your FP notice. If you have ND after July 1st is a very low probability to have the FP notice, the last frontwave of FP was at the end of June 2003, nothing significant after that. I heard that they are sending FP notices for 2004 also (maybe some pilot programs ... who knows?). So FP is very unpredictable these days, but I believe that they are trying to make sure that after you receive the FP notice in the next 15 months you'll get the approval. For more info check my scan at:

VSC has been sending FP notices for people with March 22,2004 date. I know this because I have done a scan of some 485s and have seen that about 7-8% of them have already done their FP in May / June timeframe. So the assumption that the FP notices are not coming is not true.

I don't know how many cases are you scanning, I didn't see any of your data, but if you look of the data I post you'll see that before June 30th 2003, there are > 80% of the cases with FP done and after that < 10%. I was following the process very close for several months and I can tell you that they used to send every other week (on Friday) several hundreds of FP notices. That happened until March 2004 with the ND ~ June 30th. After that was no bulk FP notices. Every week only few "Received" were changing in "FP received" and the trend is the same NOW. IT is true that there are ~10% or less FP notices for 2004 also, but this pattern was before for 2003. I am talking about sending FP to everybody not only to few ... they are not doing it anymore. "So the assumption that the FP notices are not coming is ... true". What you see in 2004 is a pattern that happened before with the 2003 or 2002 cases, 10% is normal and does not mean anything. Let me know when you'll notice a 80% FP notices in 2004.

I have not been able to scan many cases. I have started this process last 2 weeks only and I have access to only 2 computers. So I am not able to scan more then 400 cases every 2 days and I am trying to do 140 scanning more then 485 scanning. My ND is March 22,2004 and I have been scanning cases with those RDs only. I have scanned about 79 cases for I485 (with RN in the range of 50001 to 51600). Here is the data:

Out of these 83 cases 16 have done their FP. This amounts to nearly 20%. I dont think this percentage is that insignificant.

I agree, but as I said is nothing unusual. It is the same situation as it was for 2002/2003 applic, some of them received FP notices in a month or so, the rest (bulk FPs) much later. So far after June 2003 no bulk FPs so we can say they are sending again FPs when they'll start again to send FPs for everybody not for a few ....

I scanned few cases and got an access denied error for unspecified time. will this pose a problem to me as they log the details. thanks

no. they just logs your proxy/gateway IP address. they just blocks that IP address for certain period of time. there is no impact on your application. if you try from different proxy/gareway you should be fine.

I have data in an XLS file. I am using the scanner XLS file which is available in this forum. I cannot give you the exact EAC number on this notice board, because of privacy concerns. Why dont you PM me, and I can share some numbers that have received FP.

As far as no one coming forward that they have received their FP on this notice board is concerned, I would say that this notice board does not represent all the people who are trying to get their GC. There are far more people out there then who post here.

Guys,
I got my I140 approved on May28th. I am waiting for FP too.
I140 RD - 10/09/2003
I485 RD - 10/09/2003
