smart process : from TN to GreenCard

I am on TN visa living temporarily alone in USA.
my wife and 2 daughters are living in another country temporary/not canada and did not apply for TD yet. they will apply for it within the next months to join me.
I have to renew my TN on Novembre this year.

Questions:
1. What is the smart process we have to follow to get that GreenCard without loosing hair.
2. how many months it will take us to have it on hands.
