Small Criminal Record and a Green Card application

So I feel I am quite a way through the process to get a green card in the states so me and my wife can start our lives out here. I'm from the UK and when I was 17 (now 23) I did something silly and I got a 1 or 2 yearsuspended sentance and a fine for section 5 of the public order act. It was racially agrivated abuse (verbal). My hand was forced and I had to plead guilty to get a lesser sentance. In the UK it takes 5 years untill the record is "spent" and removed from file.

I also got arrested for drunk and dissordaly 3 times which is a small fine and thats it. And indecent exposure (when drunk) which resulted in just a telling off. I didn't recieve any paperwork from any of these and I dont have any for the 2 year suspended sentance which should already be spent.

To my knowledge there is no marks on my criminal record unless I am being way to naive?!? Because of this I did not write down that I had a criminal past on the original form.

I recieved a letter with a date for my interview with an officer and my wife. Included in that letter was a piece of paper that stated if I had ever been arrested I needed to bring in paperwork. I have no paperwork.

What I was planning on doing is applying to the courts for copies of any paperwork I should have in relation to these cases and a copy of my criminal record.

What would happen if I didn't take in any copies of my paperwork? Would there be anything on my record for them to find out anyway?!? If they deny me can I plead my case in a court?

All of this occured when I was young, I grew up with parents that abused me under the influence of alcahol and I guess I took to drinking from the age of 16-19/20. I did some stupid things but then my life changed. I am a big charity activist and have been since my little brother was diagnosed with cancer on xmas eve of 2008. I also voluenteer for two local non profit organisations in the community in trying to repent anything I may have done in the past. I am a changed man and would not like to let my past effect my future.

Does anyone have any information on this subject?!?

Many Thanks

Ben

I assume there's nobody that's been in the same situation here or no one knows what I should do?!? I guess I should do my best to get the papers, and if not actually get them then show proof of me trying, emails, letters etc?!?
Thanks for reading :-)

If you disclose them, they will ask for the records. And, you have to disclose EVERYTHING - even the ones that have been erased from the records.
