Guys, could you please explain the significance of these three digits? I know the first two shows the year (calendar?) the application was received in.

The first two #s represents the fiscal year (October 1, through September 30) in which the case was received.

The next 3 #s represents the computer workday in the fiscal year on which the fee was taken.

The 5xxxx represents the particular case number.
 
Next three number of fiscal year

has gone up to 276 days out of 365. 104 weekend days, sometime they work on saturday so it is 52 weekend days.
20 national holidays (estimating max).

365-52-20= 293 . The math never works right. And ND of earlier date have higher number. It always puzzles me. Can some explain this?
