Skil Bill

Election is Nov 7th. Lame duck session by definition is the one by the outgoing congress before the new one convenes.
People please have some sort of knowledge of what you are posting before posting.

Firstly, nobody here knows anything accurately for sure. 98% of us think we know a lot and speculate.

Secondly, please get your facts straight before correcting somebody else. From "garg_gaurav"'s post it is clear that he is just saying that before election, if any bills had to pass then then it was time (when he posted that message..which is..Oct 26th) . He also mentions that congress will reconvene (look up the word in a dictionary; also, he implicitly means that the congress will reconvene after the elections - this would be clear to anybody knowing the context and have the knowledge of what is going on) for a lameduck session. So I think "garg_gaurav" is crystal clear. I guess YOU should have some sort of knowledge before correcting somebody else.

Thirdly, "garg_gaurav" has got the date of recovening also right. It is indeed November 13th. Check out the 3rd line on the first paragraph of this article -

To settle matters once for all here is the definition of what a lameduck session is from the source -

PLease post all the info you get on Skil BIll being passed in this thread, There is intense lobying for this bill to pass and very rare chances as calendar is full. But if this gets passed, it will altogether finish retrogression soon. Please share any info you have. Here are some promising testimonies from my area, Iselin, NJ.

Any updates on this? today is Nov21

Last I checked, there is nothing going on. I believe the law makers have gone on their Thanks Giving break and the next session will be in December. That is what I read somewhere.

cheers,
