SJ stamping appointment

I asked my lawyer to make an appointment for stamping.
He said he would charge $110.
I saw a posting who said it costs only $10.
Even though paying $110 would be better than wasting whole day, I would like to find a lawyer who charges less.

Does anybody know a lawyer who charges less?
I assume any lawyer can make an appointment for me.

Could you please email me your lawer's phone #?

Buddy,
Could you please email me your lawer's phone number? I don't mind paying $110 to get an appointment in SJ. I went their yesterday and wasted 6 hours only to be told 'We are out of tokens for today'. Please email me adabas@hotmail.com.

Thanks

Thursdays are pretty bad there because if you see their timings, you
would notice they open only till 12PM on Thursday. You should have gone
on Friday at 4 AM or so, you should be out by 9:30AM.
Initially I was hating that big line and wait too. But later I felt that now
I miss the line. It promoted waking up in the morning, something that
I hadn't done for a while. Also there are lots of interesting people to
interact with from all over all the world and last but not the least you
get to see first hand how choked US immigration system is. So standing in the line is definitely an experience.

I think any lawyer can make an appointment.
That's why I'm looking for a cheap lawyer.
We need an appointment per person, not per family.

That's a new procedure.
Even my lawyer doesn't know the detailed procedure yet.
He said he was informed by INS and I'm the first one who asked about it.

Your approval letter itself is an appointment. Is it a new business to make money. What is the difference making an appointment by a lawyer and a person him/herself. Correct me if I am wrong.

You are right. but unfortunately, San Jose USCIS stopped entertaining the approval letters in appointment line couple of weeks ago. They have set up a system of scheduling appointments but only for lawyers. this suchs big time. I guess, in next couple of months they will include San Jose in infoPass...

The lawyer can get you first in the line early morning. I had an attorney
who bought about 20 people and they were admitted before us although
I was first in the line. Needless to say those people were done around 8am.

We were wondering how these people were allowed entry and happen this
women who was going almost with all these to the counter. Turns out
lawyers can get appointment for their client.

We were still not convinced if this whole thing was legal.....

USCIS charges $10 per person (14 years and older). your lawyer is a cheap basturd trying to make $15 per person.

I think its a scam by the attorneys. I don't think INS charges for the appointment.

My lawyer said he can setup appointments @ $25/person for FRI days.

There is a pilot program for LA office which is accessible to public.
Check these.... hopefully this will be extended to other offices.
