My 6th year on H1 is expiring on 31st August as well as the h1 visa stamp on my passport. I have sent the H1 for renewal and I hope to receive it soon however I might have to travel right now. Is is safe to travel on my current H1 which is valid till the 31st of August, or should I wait to receive the renewed H1 and send my visa for revalidation before I travel? please help...

you can travel with valid H1 Visa stamp and must be back in US before 31st of August. if you get H1 extension approval notice before you go out of US then at POE show your passport Visa stamp AND H1 extension approval and you will get I-94 till H1 extension approval if CBP officer does not give you I-94 till H1 extension approval poit out to him or ask for supervisor
