single vs family approval time

Hi all

I can't help but notice that approval seems to happen faster for families and/or couples than for single filers.

Are there big differences? I am a single filer, but my house mate is going to get married soon - he is still waiting for his LC.

Cheers

Where did you get that idea? The fact is that most of the forum members/GC applicants are married, and that's why you see more approvals for family/couple.

Single/Married

USCIS prefer to give GC to singles who live with thier Girlfriends or Boyfriend, beacuse family means a lot of GC quota to get exhausted. US culture is promoting the tradion of SINGLE Parents. So try to be single and have fun of life to get your GC fatser. Am I wrong?

True, but my observations extend beyond this forum.

I am not sure if USCIS is following policy you have stated.

Married people may experience slight delay due to extra paperwork required.
