Single or double sided? Two holes?

Many friends here suggest single-sided documents, but my lawyer says it doesn\'t matter and he prefers double-sided. It doesn\'t matter, does it? INS doesn\'t mention it on its web page.

Another question is do you guys really punch two holes on top of the materials? It is suggested by INS but not required.
