Simulatneous H1 B filing by two companies

Hi,

I am presently on H1 B visa and have the relevant documents / pay stubs etc for a successful H1 transfer. I have been selected by two companies and both are ready to do H1 transfer but here is the dilemma.

1. I sent Company A all the required documentation for H1 transfer but before filing for H1 B transfer they wanted to perfrom background check and will go ahead with the filing only if the background check is sucessful. It has been more than a week I haven't heard from them.
2. Company B gave me the offer only after sucessful background verification and have the requested the documentation for H1 filing.

I am interested in company A but they are delaying the process whereas company B has confirmed even the tentative start date. My questions are:
1. What will happen if I ask both of them to go ahead with H1 transfer filing?
2. Can I say no to company B if my background check with company A is successful and they file for my visa. Also if I work for compamy B for 2-3 weeks and then move to company A on their H1 B visa (which was issued on my current job) will the H1 B visa be still valid.
3. Will there be any complications later like affecting my Green Card filing later?

Please advise. Any suggestion would be appreciated. I am interested in joining company A but it is delaying the process. In case something goes wrong with company A I want to go with company B but in any case I don't want to lose both the opportunities.

Nothing will happen, if you are eligible both will be approved.

Which is not ethical, and wasting their H1 application money too ( $ 3000). Decide which one do you want to go, pick the right one.
