What is the EAC Number stands for

EAC 01(Year)-014(what is this, is this serial number of case they received in that month)/50xxxx(what is this)

EAC stands for Eastern Area center (VSC). 01 means 2001, 014 probably some no_of_days (I do not know from what date!).

014 in your case means business day of that fiscal year.

For example, in your case EAC 01-014-xxxxx, 014 means in the 14th day of fisical year 2001, INS sends you notification. Since INS fisical year starts on 10/1, then I guess your ND is middle to later of oct., 2000.

I am not remeber what is EAC stands for on top of my head but if you do little research you can find it on the web. What I knew was it is intials for VSC. All INS centers prefix their initials before the receipt number. For example it is WAC for CSC, LIN for NSC and SRC for TSC.

01- stands for current fiscal year, For INS the year starts from OCT to SEP.

014- stands for the working day since OCT

5XXXX - it is a serial number assigned to your case.

 I was thinking is there any way with the serial number, we can find out how many cases filed in the month or year?
