Similarity of Job Criterion

Lawyer tells me that if you are doing coding, design, development, it
makes job similar...no matter if LC says C/C++ and you are doing Java
or LC says Assemby and you are doing C/C++.

Is that an over-simplification and safe enough thing ?

Eg.. you were doing network management software and you change to
file systems. Is that similar ?

How similar should it be to make it similar ?

well i have known cases where DBA and System Admin have been regared as similar roles. So its more like a very broad level interpretation.
And i am sure DBA is same no matter u r Oracle / Sybase / Sql Server DBA.

In other words

As long as you were doing Software Design/Development/Architecture
before and are doing so now, it consitutes a similar job right ?

Its not similar only if you were doing software development before
and are now selling junk cars ...something like that ?

You got it! Thats the basic idea that is conveyed for AC21 purposes. Sorry, you can deal in junk cars till u get you GC :)

Any instance of denied due to dissimilarity ?

By the way, has anyone heard of denial on grounds that ac21 was
inapplicable due to lack of similarity ?
