Hi guys!

I am kind of in similar situation like Kudi Magan. You can read his thread using this link...

My fiancee came on H1 visa and got only bench pay. BUT, we didn't have to pay anything to the company like in the case of Kudi Magan's. After couple of months my fiancee got EAD and quit the company. And we got our GC after 8 months.

Now when I apply for citizenship, will I have any problem?

Thanks,
Newbie001.

You're OK. Especially, if I understood correctly, you're asking about yourself, not your fiancee. Your N-400 doesn't have anything to do with your fiance's employment history.
Plus, the 3/5 years clock starts ticking after you get the green card, so the employment story happened 8 months before you got the green card.

Thanks Suzy.
Actually, I meant to ask if this situation will have any impact on either of our (me and my wife) citizenship process.

Thanks again,

if she got paid when she was on the bench, i see there has no issue of that.

It was not full-pay (as appeared on the offer letter). Since she was not working on any project (for the first few months), they paid only partial salary. They said they will pay full pay only when she gets a project.

Thanks,
