Should we apply for Visa extension too?

Hello All,

I am USC and my mother is in US on B2 and her I-94 is expiring end of this month. I am sending the package to IL lockbox today (4/19/2010) for applying for her GC (130, 485, 864, 131) by Fedex.

Since there is just 10 days left before her I-94 expires do you think I should file for her visa extension (may be e-file it) too to cover all the bases so that she does not go out of status should something go wrong with my GC filing?

Am I being paranoid?

Thanks,

Applying for the extension is a waste of time. Once they see the green card application, they'll deny the extension anyway.

No need to apply for extension. Waste of time and money. Even if parents are out of status, there is no impact on the GC application/approval process. Parents are in immediate relatives.
