Hello Gurus,
I am a postdoc in an university, but recently I have been offered a permanent (non tenure) position as research specialist from March 2007, which I am accepting. I completed my PhD in March 2006 and have been a post doc. ( so does this make up for my 3 yrs experience count?). I also taught graduate students for two semesters. I can get letter from my previous department about the significance of my research. I can also get 8-10 good recos. I graduated as a toxicologist and my work inpart was responsible in helping the lawmakers ban certain chemical becuse of its toxic nature.
I have 10 publications in 6 different well reputed journals, which are cited atleast 10 times till now. I also have 22 papers presented at various international conferences. I am a reviewer for one journal and have reviewed 4 papers till now. I was invited by two different universities to give a talk.

Should I still wasit to build my case or do I stand a good chance for EB1?
Thank you.

See my thread about the RFE my husband received from NSC.

If you think that you can properly answer question 1 then you might qualify for 3 years experience. (See also question 2, for EB1-OR).

You might qualify for EB1-OR if you have a good cover letter and letters proving that you were invited (for talks, reviews) because you are oustanding etc.

I think being a reviewer is the easiest one, so you can volunteer by sending your CV to journals you published in, or to conferences, or having someone recommend you.

Good luck!
