Should I travel?

What a luck... I was laid off and my 485 was denied. Later I filed for Motion To Reopen (MTR) the case. Meanwhile, I was looking for a job and now with no luck in US, I got a call from a recruiter in US for an assignment in Canada.

Tough luck... My AP expires in 2 weeks and I did not apply for a renewal. Thinking, it may have adverse effect on my MTR. In todays time frame, it may take 6 months before I may get AP approval. The project duration in Canada is for 6 months.

My attorney told me that if 485 is denied and if you have not heard from BCIS about MTR then you may get problem while entering US.

The employer in Canada is ready to send immediate visa papers and assuming that emergency AP gets approved, should I be taking this assignment?

LongGC I am really sorry for your situation

But don't travel until your MTR is open. I Hope and pray you get a job soon in US.
