I just confirmed with my lawyer that if I travel abroad and my GC got approved I can still come and need to do formality. About the praganancy of my wife, it shouldn't matter with immigration officer. Only Airline will not let my wife get in after 28th week. Since she is on her 21st week and I am visiting for 2 weeks, it should be fine. I will let you guys know how it went through.'

Thanks for your help.

Could you kindly indicate the source for the "airline not letting anybody into 28th week of her pregnancy?" Is it because of safety or is it because they don't want to be liable for fraud cases that want to beget the baby as an American citizen?

In any case, please post the source of that information as that would be of immense help. Thanks.

It's because the airlines don't want the cost of diverting a flight when someone goes into labor mid-flight. I suspect the policy varies from airline to airline. For example, the policy for AA, which is much less stringent than 28 weeks max, can be found at http://www.aa.com/content/travelInformation/specialAssistance/travelingWhilePregnant.jhtml. I'm sure all other airlines have their policies on their web sites.

I talked with British Airways and they informed me that they will not let pragenant women travel after 28th week of her pragenancy. Also, I heard similar things if you are going for cruise, they will not let you get aboard after 28th week.
