Should I sue? Just got back from infopass in Boston

Had my interview feb 21st and haven't heard anything so went for infopass appointment today in Boston. Immigration officer was a really cool guy. Very helpful and polite (Soloman B). Anyways he told me that everything was cleared including fingerprints and am justing waiting for FBI background check. That was started on Nov 2005. He also said that INS asked FBI on Aug 7th 2006 about status of background check and haven't heard back. So now the question is that does it make sense to sue. It's been 180 days since my interview. What do you guys think?

My 2 cents: Sue them. When I had a recent InfoPass appointment, I was specifically told to resort to 1447(b). The lady said that the FBI was so backlogged, that if a name check did not clear within a few days after its submission, it would take a long, long time. Her best guesstimate was another 18 to 24 months for it to clear if I did not file a lawsuit. So guess what I will be doing in October ;-).

Cheers!

I am on the same boat like you. My interview was on Feb 2nd. I couldnt do any infopass thing because I am working in Europe. I am thinking about law suit once I am back in US.

Simply waiting will make it to get nowhere, and then u need to go for fingeprint and interview again I guess.
