Hi,
I am a canadian PR and working in detroit living in windsor.
I am going to visit my home country and going to leave from detroit.
Would they detach my I-94 card from my passport? if so how do I get new one when I return to canada direclt from my home country?
Thank in advance for your help.

Yes, your I-94 will be taken by the airlines folks when you checkin. You should be able to get another I-94 when you headback to work from Windsor to Detroit after your return from your home country.

When ur coming from home country they will issue I -94 form in the flight . u need to fill that form and hand it over to US POE officer.they will stamp the date of entry and issue the same back right away. Same procedure like ur last visit

No, you should not give your I-94 at POE if your visit in canada is within 30 days, as per INS rule - even if you travel by air. You can say so to officer and show your return ticket back to USA.

--- You have to give your I-94 at Airlines counter in US before your departure from US

--- When you return to Canada you will NOT get I-94 in Flight or at Canada airport, I-94 is for US not for Canada, if you are landing in US then you will get new I-94

Once you try to enter US from Canada by border post or by Air from Canada you will get new I-94

help me gurus...

while entering to US last time immigration officer at POE has stammped the VISA expiration date on the I-94, instead on the new extended H-1 date.

how can I get date on I-94 fixed?

Now I am planning to travel,by road, to vancouver to get new extended VISA issued.

Can i get a new I-94 issued by the border if i travle by road.

in that case do i need to surrnder the existing I-94 at the time to way in to canada.
