with all the news around and more senators backing up, will it be a good idea to go forward and file a pro se ?

My 2 year waiting time(after interview) is 2 months away. (stuck with BG check)

obvious question will be coming from you guys,,, why didn't i filed it earlier. Well I didn't and now I have a whole bunch of proof that I can show like letters from different offices.

any suggestions?

USCIS had by law 120 days to act on your case after afterview. I would have filed 1447(b) long back.
Leverage how important citizenship if for you right now (ie:GC will expire soon, want to sponsor family member), or if can wait longer (ie.GC will expire only in a few years) vs the price of filing lawsuit.

Definitely. It's a very good time to do it now; mainstream. People get their citizenships in just a few weeks after filing without any fight, in 1447b situations like yours.

You are still proscrastinating and hoping for a miracle!
I would have filed the day my 120 days were over. You don't need to collect any proof or letters. That is for the WOM filers.

Anyway, do what feels right for you based on your ability, time and enthusiasm for US citizenship.

I am not an expert on this area, but I would concur with the general advice of the responses and I would not wait for a hypothetical senate action and I would file right away, two years is a lot of time.
