Should I celebrate a promotion?

Hello!

As my case stands today, my EAD, I 140 and AP have been approved. I am due for a promotion in the same company to a managerial position whereas right now I am a senior engineer. Does this affect the I 485 approval?

Any advice is appreciated.

If no RFE, all set to go. If they issue RFE, then you need to submit emp letter with old job desc (it's depends on HR whether they give false doc or not )

It is a problem....I-485 approval currently in process is for your engineer position. If they RFE to confirm position description at a later date you will likely be asked to resubmit in the process under the new position. Per GCPEN, if the company works with you, you might be OK. The question is this....does your company do business with the Government. Mine does...government represents 30% of our annual sales. If they are like the company I work for they will never risk getting caught and losing its "preferred supplier" status with the government.
