Hello All,

My Naturalization interview is coming up on the 17th of May. My N-400 application was based on the 3 year rule; I'm still married, we have a son, and living together. Is it necessary for my U.S. Born wife to come with me to the interview?

I appreciate any feedback!

Thanks,

I believe there is no requirement to take your spouse along for your N400. Someone else will be along shortly to confirm this.

In fact I am pretty sure you cannot take your spouse into the interview even if you want to.

You dont need to bring your wife...in fact, she wont be allowed in the interview room with you and will be waiting outside in the hall/waiting area.

If it is not a hardship, the spouse may accompany you for moral support. USCIS likes that in spousal cases AND just in case there is any doubt, the Officer may do a brief "meet and greet"...""By the way, do you have your DL with you? May I see it?" And compare: "WHY the different addresses (or worse) different State DL?" vs. "I see you both have the same address listed."
