Should I ask bank to stop check payment for EAD?

My I-485 was approved on 3/16/05. I applied EAD renewal one week ago, should I ask my bank to stop check payment ($175) for it?

sure, you'll save your money

if CIS didn't cash your check yet, your application for EAD will be automatically denied as appication without payment.
if they got your money already, I don't know what is going to happen

If they got the money, they will deny the application anyway.

Its considered a "processing fee", not an approval fee as we would all like it to be. They'll process the application, take the money, and deny the EAD.
