Should I-134 be notorized?

Should the affidavit of support I-134 be notorized. I have CP interview in December.

Not necessary to notorize as per Mumbai consulate

I checked with Mumbai consulate twice. It is not mandatory to notorize I134. You could sign in front of the consular officer.
 
Getting doc notorized is not difficult

Why miss out on a technical issue if fulfilling the requirement is easy??

Technically you are supposed to get it Notorized.
 
How to get them notarised?

What is the best way to get the docs notarised?
I have heard that banks provide this service but only in specific branch.
At times the Notary Seal is not clearly visible. Is it ok if only the stamp is visible indicating when the commission expires and the signature of the notary?
I have seen some grocery shops provide notary service in which the guy signs in the name of a woman (his wife)!
Not only that, other guys in the shop also sign in her name!

I-134 says it requires notarization.

I-134 page 2 does require notarization. So I would notarize it no matter what consulates say. Plus it is very simple. Just don\'t sign till you are in front of the notary. Most banks and credit unions will provide notary services for free. Walk in and get it notarized. Your bank should be able to do it for you.
