Should be there any definit time to wait before applying for K1?

I've read in some forum that the personal meeting with the fiancee(if you met on internet) should be not earlier than 2 years before applying for K1.Does it mean that I should wait for two years before applying or is it noncense? Should be there any definit time before applying?
 
A lot of people get confused with the 2 year requirement....what it means is that the US citizen and their fiance MUST have met at least once personally in the past 2 years.

Eg...a couple who have been dating 3 months and have met once within those months are eligible to file providing that they are both free to marry.
.....a couple who have been dating 5 years, but last saw each other 2.5 years ago are not eligible to file as it has been too long since they last met in person.
