Thanks much for your reply. Looks like they are now finally (but slowly) looking at the EB1 cases filed earlier this year. It's interesting that they approved your I-140 and I485 during same time. was it on the same day?
It was actually within a span of 48 hours. I believe they are processing the I-485 along with I-140 and keeping them pending only because the I-140 is not approved.
In other words, all processing of I-485 will be complete before I-140 is approved. When I-140 is approved, approving I-485 is just a formality.
This is the only way I can explain how it can be so fast.
Anyway, I am not complaining

Yes. You have to be a manager outside the US for a period of one year in the 3 years prior to coming to the US and you should continue to work in a managerial capacity in the US.
A multinational manager or executive is eligible for priority worker status if he or she has been employed outside the U.S. in the three years preceding the petition for at least one year by a firm or corporation and seeks to enter the U.S to continue service to that firm or organization. The employment must have been outside the United States in a managerial or executive capacity and with the same employer, an affiliate, or a subsidiary of the employer.
The petitioner must be a U.S. employer, doing business for at least one year, that is an affiliate, a subsidiary, or the same employer as the firm, corporation or other legal entity that employed the foreign national abroad. Definitions of terms relevant to this EB-1 category are found in 8 CFR § 204.5.
