Shockingly Recieved 2 FP notice in 1 month time ...Please help Hi ,

I have recieved a notice for FP on august 6th scheduled for September 2nd

which me and my wife have gone to Oakland USCIS office and got finger printed.

But today that is september 09 I have recieved another notice for me and wife asking to go to Oakland USCIS office for Finger printing.

I have called USCIS the answer is until and unless specifically said in the
not to go for second FP notice.

we should go and get it done this was the advice from USCIS.

Please advice me if any one had this similar situation or not, I am really
confused and upset with 2 notices in a short time.

One more thing the officer in USCIS said if u have recieved 2 notices this means ur case is close to clearing.. :)

my 2 nd FP is on 9/21/04 exatly one month after 1 st

I think this has been the norm for lot of people.

kumar i also got the same message today....read my post below which i posted earlier today...so u r suggesting to go ahead and get the second finger printing done...is that right???

I got my 1st FP Notice on Aug 8th '04 and got FP done on Sep 1st '04. Online status updated on Sep 7th '04 stating 'fp review rec'd and processing resumed'.

Today I got another FP notice dated Sep 1st '04 and scheduled for Oct 12th '04.

What should I do? This is very strange.

Any thoughts or help will be appreciated.

This could be new now; when we were giving our's (during Feb/Mar '03) almost every other person got 2/3 notices. Later on CIS said there was some problem with the system. You can either ignore the notice or could go and try to give the FPs again.

Don't you guys know, by now, CIS customer service is the worst. They have no idea what they are up to.
One more thing the officer in USCIS said if u have recieved 2 notices this means ur case is close to clearing.. :)

I am not shocked at all...

I would always go and do the second FP-2, you never know, even though the officers are careful when doing FP but suppose if your finger prints were not acceptable to FBI for some reason. They would expect you to reappear, so I would never apply my intelligence to question anything which comes from USCIS.

tODAY I Recieved a email saying my case on finger print is updated.

Please suggest me what should i do....

Fortunately your FP message is updated, it did not happen to many people.You can forget about the FP2, in my opinion. It's mere mistake of some one issuing notices; there is no intellegence of CIS anywhere in it, so just don't bother.

this message appears for me also but still have second fp notice...i m 100% sure it is in error cos issue date for 2nd FP was Sep 1st and was the day I got my 1st FP done. And as I said earlier now the status shows that FP result of FP have been received.

Nothing to worry about. This will happen if your first FP results were not clear. Just go ahead and do the FP again.
 
2 Notices in 4 days gap..

Hi i received my 2nd FP notice on Aug 16th with appt data as 9/11 at oakland. On Aug 27th i received another appt notice for 9/15. I am going there tomorrow and not sure what to do with the other one. But probably i will ask the local ASC people and see what they say or if they can send the same FP results for both appointments, making 9/15 one 4 days earlier.
 
dazzling...i think you are not getting the point...it is not possible that finger prints were not clear...notice has been issued even before they would have seen the finger print results...

now since i see so many ppl are receiving it i am sure there has been some software glitch...

Hi,

Can you share your exp. of FP at Oakland uscis office, did you try getting FP done on an earlier date, I ve heard somebody tried it earlier and they refused to do it.

I am going there tomorrow morning at 9 am and i will share my experince. I didnt try to go earlier than scheduled.
 
2nd fp

this could be due to the glitch in the uscis system.. or could be genuine..for some reason the first FP results may not be acceptable by them..one of friends wife had issues with FP.. she did not have prints, clear enough, on hand which USCIS expects ( wierd case ).. her approval got delayed for six months after her husbands.. she went there for 3 or 4 times..If I were you, i would go & get it done..
 
Probably so.. the USCIS has some probs... my wife got another FP notice thoough she did hers march 2004 AND even I got for same date sept 1st but I completed 15 months.
