My wife is about to apply for an F2 visa. Can people please share their experiences about the application process, specifically the interview at the consulate. Cases where the spouse went for their interview by themselves are specifically interesting. What kind of questions are the consulars interested in, and what seems to be moe convincing?

hi
i have to appear for f2 visa interview next month.so if anybody can help what kind of questions they are asking and what are the precautions and recommendations for increasing the chances of getting f2.

Answer to F2 visa question

YOu need the following documents

I-20 from the school stating her name in the I-20.
Your name annotated as spouse in his/her passport
Bank statement showing that you have sufficient fund for her stay.
your Marriage certificate and copy
Marriage photographs showing you, your wife as well as family members from both sides.
Check the consulate website for additional documents. Please carry every document they ask for. it is important.

Questions that may be asked:

Name of Husband/wife?
School he/she is studying?
Department he /she is studying?
How long have you been married?
Why do you want to go to US? Ans: to join my husband or wife
Do you wish to work or study in US?: ANS: No
