Hi,

Based on the most recent update posted on 09/17/2004, the processing date of I-485 in Vermont center is 09/07/2002. This date has passed the receipt date of my I-485 application which is 08/30/2002.

I would like to get some advice on what I can do at this moment. Some friend suggested me contact Senator. I live in Texas but my I-485 got filed in Vermont center.

• Shall I contact Senator of Texas or Senator of Vermont?
• What is their address?
• Or I can just simply call CIS customer service center to check about the status?

Any advice would be highly appreciated.
Jenny

1.Some of our friends here had some luck by contacting the senator. I think you should contact the local senator (Texas).
2.There are links elsewhere on these forums that can get you contact info for your local senator. Search in the forums. Here is a good thread for all the imortant info:

3.Calling USCIS may not really help cuz they would probably just ask you to wait for the published processing date to be past (your RD + 30) days.

Good luck.
