shall Canada PR needs to take visitors visa to enter US for one week at consulate or at port of entr

common wealth

What country are you from? You don;t need a Visa if you are from any of the common wealth countires. You just buy your ticket and travel like a Canadian.

by air also there is no stamp, but you fill in the disembarkation card.

whe I go to US by air, I fill the card at toronto airport. the immig guy asks a few question and stamps on the card. the card is then taken from you. BUT NO STAMP ON THE PASSPORT.

You are OK without a visa.

Since you are a Canadian PR AND also a citizen of India (which is a Commonwealth country), you do NOT require a US Visitor\'s visa for a casual visit upto 90 days. Just carry your Indian passport and Canadian Landing papers (very important!). Also, at the Port of Entry / Pre-Flight Immigration Office, your passport will NOT be stamped. You are OK for up to 90 days.
This holds true even after September 11.

Hi,

For landed immigrants (PR) who want to visit US for a short period (week), is it better to cite reason as sightseeing or visiting family (brother/sister) at port of entry?
Any information is appreciated.

Thanks

when you say LAND, does this include TRAIN also? Just want to make sure.
