I am responding to your email dated December 22, 2004, concerning your name check status for immigration purposes.

A review of the FBI's Name Check Program database revealed that a request from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for you was received on March 20, 2003, and is currently in a pending status. Due to increased national security concerns, in December 2002 to early 2003, the USCIS resubmitted 2.7 million name checks for processing to the FBI in addition to its regular submissions. Although 99.8% of these resubmitted cases have been finalized, our efforts to complete the remaining requests continue. You may be assured that the immigration authorities will be advised at the earliest possible date upon completion of this case.

It is noted that they got request in same month as ur RD/ND. its mean USCIS sent them immidiately.

Btw are u /anyone heard or familar that they are going to start 'Backlog Name Check' illuminate program from Aug first week?

Name check not done and 140 is on hold ??????

TSC is holding on my 140 approval since my name check is not completed yet.
I sent a email to FBI on Jan 17 05 and still waiting for response.
FBI FOIPA came with NO HITS.
The highly reputed FBI has not working at all.

All these responses are standard "BULL SHIT" that is sent out to us in response to our inquiries. The truth is that there is no accountability in any department. Things are done randomly. If your process happens to fall under the right officers desk then you will be fine, otherwise you will have to deal with this kind of delay.

This whole Name Check stuff is a bunch of crap to. Although I realize that Name Check is an important security measure, these days incompetencies and mistakes are hidden under the unquestionable banner of "National Security". All the offices know that if they have messed up something or if they are unable to give a reasonable response to a filers inquiry, they can just say that for "National Security Reasons" your case has been delayed. The system is perfectly setup for these kinds of abuses. All we can do is hope that someday the case gets approved.

hey POJ, where did you hear about this mystical Name Check- illuminati program? I'm gonna go to my senator again monday , time to get hold of FBI congressional liason now

i am also planning to do something abt my name check .my I485 is pending for an year now.
can u please tell whether u contacted the senator or congressman .the senators office is not in my city but i have a congressman here. did u contact them thru congress.org. thanks in advance .

Well, try both (Congressman and Senator) and see who is more responsive. It is less probable that they will help with namecheck, but i will try anyways.
