Hi

Entered US yesterday with SFO as POE on 2/8/04.
Any recent experiences with SFO as POE?
Please advice on the timeframe for welcome letter and plastic card.

Also when can I go and apply for SSN for my wife - maybe a week from now??

You can apply for new SSN card today itself...just carry the passport which has the i-551 stamp. If your dependents entered with you then they need to go physicaly and do the same.

As far as welcome letter they take about 2-3 weeks and physical cards are avergaing about 6 weeks and in extreme cases about 6 months.
