I have a friend and he is close to 6 Yrs on H1B.
He reloacted to India in October' 2004.
His employer is contemplating to send him back to US on assignment. He has the option of delaying the start date to Oct/Nov 2005.
His question is, will his 6 Years of H1 reset if he comes to US after Nov 2005?(Since there will be 1 year gap) Does it has to be new H1B(His current H1B expires in 2006)? Any information on this will be helpful
