Hi:
I got my I-140 approved in September, but it took me a hell of a long time to arrange all the documents (birth certificate, mainly). But finally, it\'s all there and it\'s scheduled to be filed shortly. However - here are the issues:
- My H1 has expired. The company which is sponsoring my GC has promised to go along with the GC process - but I do not work with them and don\'t have paychecks. At this time, because of my status, I don\'t work anywhere.
- My attorney says, I *could* still get my GC.
I am in a terrible dilemma. Should I just wrap up everything and leave US? What chances do I have, of actually getting the GC - without paychecks from sponsoring company and without a current job. I could potentially try to get a similar job when I get my EAD - but that would be 90 days away, if at all I get it. And then getting an exact similar job, under current scenario, could be very difficult.
Experts, please advice.
Thanks.
