Hi
recently i am tryin to transfer to another school, however, my school policy doesn't allow student to transfer at all. i'm now goin to finish my 2nd quadsemester; it seems tht the only solution is drop out and get a new i-20. da questions r, if i do tht, can i still stay in US to settle things done for a while? or can i just simply change my visa typed from F1 to B1 to stay here waitin for the new i-20 then back to my country and re-entry w/the new 1? da last question is how soon i can ask da new school to start da i-20 filin procedure?

what do you mean they don't allow to transfer????? all you usually do is get a new I-20 from a new school and request that your old school release your SEVIS record to the new school. That's all.
