The dates will go back to 2001 or early 2002 or maybe even more backwards because so many folks filed their 485s in the last couple months.

Not to shatter your hopes, but what makes you think random approvals won't happen? The July bulletin update indicated there were *no* visas for July *period*. None! And yet we have seen so many approvals in just this forum, so you can extrapolate how many more people would have got approved in July, even after the bulletin update.
Unfortunately, there's no making sense of what order, if any, USCIS is following in processing cases, so it's up to us to keep our case in constant sight of USCIS' wandering eye and hope we get noticed.
