September is here, what are my chances for allocation of Visa #

My pd wont be current on September.
Are my chances now null? I had 2 LUD's on 8/28/7 and 8/29/7. Since September 1st, I have seen a few cases approved with the same LUD's and with LUD's on 8/23/7 and 8/24/7.
Are my chances null? Now that we are in September? :confused: Thanks in advance
 
Actually, the chances are pretty good. USCIS has to adjudicate all cases with allocated visa numbers by the end of this month otherwise they will lose those numbers for ever. As you can see approvals are still trickeling out, so do not lose hope my friend.
 
Thanks MA_Labor, I have a question though. Why did they issue then another Visa Bulletin with cut off dates? The law states you cannot get approved unless your pd is current, then why some people get approval in september if their pd's are not current neither under august or september vb?
I just dont get it.
I hope I get approved, other wise, i can forget about it for months, maybe years. But with days running into september my hopes vanish.

The other visa bulletins have no significance in your case if it has already been assigned a visa number. The entire drama happened in June when they allocated visa numbers to thousands of cases. Approvals have been following suite ever since. The important thing is that it is imperitive for USCIS to approve all cases by end of September otherwise they lose the numbers, even though the number have been pre-assigned to cases. So we should see many approvals going forward until the end of this month.

You should be lucky.....USCIS can't understand our pain man....We can't blame who getting approvals with later PD's.....

We all should blame USCIS... will they care????

Were you sleeping ? Didn't you notice the forward movement of cut-off dates in June and PD's current for July by USCIS & again EB-1/EB-2 availability for sept month (the last month of fiscal-year) to make effort to better utilize the available visas by USCIS.

As you saw in my thread yesterday I got approved, so there's definitely hope for you. Whatever USCIS is doing internally, if they're pre-allocating visa numbers or whatnot, it's obviously possible to get the approval email when your PD is not current. Don't lose hope.
 
Thanks. Were your fp code 3 or code 1? They sent me only code 1, and I would be really unhappy if they do not approve me due to lack of one pic. But with them USCIS everithong is possible.
I see a lot of approvals with same Lud's as mine.
 
I have received the Medical RFE and will be submitting it on next week 14thSep'07. Will I get a chance to get approval before Sep'07? Just in case, if it did not happen before Sep'03th, will I loose the allotated visa number if already allotated.

Does it really matter;) . I guess you would be happy to receive the card whichever picture they use.:D

Anyway, I saw somebody mentioned that they use the picture sent with I-485 for the card.
