as far as I know

As far as I know after getting the PR you have to join your new company unless you have done one of those AC-21 type things in which case you are supposed to remain with your new company.

I have friends who just talked to their companies and left after soemtime and just stretched their payroll to be a bit longer.

Though I dont know the full details.

Another quick questions..

anyone have any idea abt cases being transfered to local offices.....? why & when they do it ?

I think mine is different story.
1) My GC is future employement.
2) I used approved labor
3) I-140 appled in July 13th 2002
4) I-485 ND : 10/07/2002

In Aug 2003 got Ref for I-140 asked company tax details, my tax details and about salary issue (LC is 80k, my w2's are 60k)

then we submitted within 2 days then I got approved within a week(Aug 25'2003)

I got 1st and last FP on Nov 8'2003
Finally I got approved my GC on 21st Jan'2004

and also I did not work GC company. I am planning to work after couple months or later.

Thanks for your info..mine is a similar case like u.

Used approved labour
got my I140 approved
Then filed for I485 in september 2003
RFE on EAD for photo
EAD approved in DEC 2003

Now waiting for FP...
