Second FP question

Those who have recd second FP notices, Have you recd them directly or does the lawyer get them.

2nd FP done early in Boston

Hi All,

As mentioned earlier, my FP2 date was 5/5/04 and I got it done this am (3/30/04) in the Boston ASC. They rolled their eyes when they saw my actual date, but I told them that I was not sure if I can show up on the appointed date because of my pregnancy. They just smiled and let me and my husband get our FP today.

If anyone can go on Saturday when folks say that it is less crowded, then you should. I work in Boston and live in the burbs. So coming in on Saturday for this was not an option. It was crowded and it took about 90 min, since I left office and came back.

Also, Please take your EAD cards with you. They want it to verify you Alien # with a photo id. It was not mentioned in the notice to bring it, but more than one person asked to see it. I did not have it on me and they were okay. But I think they would have preferred to have seen it.

Lotuses, I dont think there's any need to get alarmed, Although I am very dissappointed not having recd FP2 notice, My dates are very close to yours.. I still believe based on posts in the forum that more sept filers are waiting for it than the lucky ones who recd it. See below my details, btw I didn't change my address so that has nothing to do with anything.

I don't know if it lucky or unlucky to get FP2. I would be quite contended to get approved without FP2. Several people get approved without FP2.:rolleyes:

I agree, Anyone would want to get approved without FP2. However when your FP1 has been expired for over a month then you do lose hope of that happening.. Only cases you have seen so far of being approved without FP2 have been within 30 to 45 days of FP1 expiry.. anything more than that you kinda can be assured that there will be FP2. So its the next step towards GC hopefuly.

Hi all,

I was very surprised to see the website updated with info about my 2nd FP details. I have heard stories of 2nd FP not being updated on the website. I hope approval comes next very quick :)

I have received 2nd FP notice last friday scheduled on 05/14/04 & thinking of going early.
 
Y/day I was informed by my attorney about my second FP that he has recvd the same. Website status has not changed, nor I have any further details.

I have received 2nd FP notice which is scheduled for 5/18/2004. I don't know whether it is good or bad to get FP2 notice, but I was bit optimistic and was hoping for I-485 approval.

2nd FP notce RD 9/27/02

I received a 2nd FP notice in the mail yesterday. It is scheduled for May 26. I am thining to go there earlier. Would that make any difference in term of approval?. Do they allow early FP in Boston? If they do what grounds?

Hi Yesil,

I have heard that if you go on a Saturday, they generally don't look at the date given in your letter and also that it is not very crowded.

I had 5/5/4 for FP2 and went on 3/30/4. Was very crowded and they were like, you are too early. But I told them that I might not be able to come on the given date and they let me do it.

Generally, Boston is not that very strict about FP. So you can try on any Saturday about 3-4 weeks in advance. Good Luck!

So you don't think it is a good idea to go there during the week, perhaps on Thursday in the early afternoon.
Have you heard from anybody whether it has had an effect on the moving things along.

One always hopes that if we do what we need to do early, they would approve it quicker too, right? :)

Also, my EAD is expiring in Oct and the lawyers had just sent me the docs for signing to file for a new one. My reasoning was that if have my FP2 done, then when the EAD application goes in, they would see that I have already done my FP2 and instead of approving just the EAD, they would approve my 485 (high hopes, I know).

I completely believe in your logic, that's the way to go. Make USCIS open your file so many times so that they get tired of it and approve it.
