We can know what is the exact procedure for applying for PR card...I am in the US since the past 5 months..got a job at that time after hanging around toronto and vancouver since may 01.
I am wondering if I can apply by mail and then go to vancouver and pick up my cards when they are ready. hope for the best:)

similar situation

I am now in the US and am planning on applying for the PR card when the kit becoms available. I would imagine that you need a Canadian address for you to fill out the form. I currently use my friends address in Canada for SIN and I plan to do the same for the PR card. I am sure you can apply by mail for the PR card. Good luck to you and all others on the same boat.

PR card Kit will be available after SEP15
But you can not send the PR card application by Mail, you have to apply personaly from Canada and collect it IN canada. you have also to take signature of Notary or others that they know you.

you can come to Canada to apply for PR Card and give the same address of friend you gave for SIN, then CIC will inform on that address that your PR card is ready and collect it, they will send a letter on that address but you have to collect it by visiting personaly.
that is what I read about PR card who have to apply after landing.

I was thinking that you could apply by mail for the PR card. Can you please tell me where you got the information regarding applying in person. I know that after Sept 15th the information will be available on the CIC web site but I was wondering if there was any web page out there now which gave the details of how to apply. Thanks for your reply.
