separation of family members in the adjustment process

A friend who received approvals just for some of his family members contacted his attorney and here is what the attorney said:

"The separation of family members in the adjustment process is happening with a frequency. Nothing to be concerned about, other than the delay in issuance of your residency. There are steps that have been delineated for correcting such an issue. We will follow up with the “inquiry system” to request that your application be adjudicated. It is taking between 30 and 60 days, but it is effective, and we have had success in rectifying other similar cases."

Any experiences with the "inquiry system"?

Thanks

I am from the EB side but had the same problem. I got approval but my wife did not. I called in on the inquiry system and talked to a rep. I was told that they will issue a referral to an officer and gave me a confirmation # and that I will get a reply within 30 days. 20 days past, lets hope for the best.

How does the Inquiry System works? Is it different from calling 800 number?

Thanks

I just called the 800# at the bottom of my approval. There is a prompt for cases already approved.
