EAC-02-XXXXXX is for fiscal year 2002 (starting Oct. 1, 2001 and ending Sept. 30, 2002)

EAC-03-XXXXXX is for fiscal year 2003 (starting Oct. 1, 2002 and ending Sept. 30, 2003)

Having nothing to do with EB2 OR EB3

Jalma it is like this

After the service center initials i.e. Vermont=EAC, Nebraska=LIN, & so on the first 2 are year & SVC(Service Centers) Fiscal year goes from October to September. then after year the first 3 are the day your application was recieved. After that is the actual reciept #.
SO

EAC-02-202-5xxxx.
it is fiscal year 2002, the day was 202 that was May 30. then reciept # .

I don't see any Sep approvals though I see that VSC is processing 16 Sep'2002 for EB3 Category.

My I-140 applied on 9/16/2002....still waiting.
 
In VSC EB2 date remains same as 05/31/2002. Seems VSC not processing EB2 at all since sometime.
 
Updates ??

VSC is processing sept 2002 for a couple of weeks now. Why are we not seeing any updates for Sept then?

With your analogy it should be Oct 25, 2003. But actually RD is Oct 31th, 2003. I think INS may be aprrximate asigning date in Receipt numbers.
 
No. Do not count holidays, weekend (sometimes, they work on Saturdays)

While checking online status it shows as

Application Type: I140, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER

The date here 11/1/2002 is Notice date (ND) or receipt date (RD)? How do we find other date. I just have my case number EAC03025xxxxx not the I 140 receipt .

Nope, but it matches the Notice date on the I-140 reciept. In my case, my RD is 9/21 and ND is 9/25 and the on-line status says they received my document on 9/25.

Thanks. So I think 11/1/2003 showing on my online status is actually ND.
