Sep 2002 Approval on Rupnet

A user called Momin has posted on Rupnet stating that his 485 (RD 09/22/2002) has been approved? Does this make sense? His FP was done on 09/30/2002. How can the FP be done within 8 days of the 485 RD?

If its true then VSC is really efficient in some cases while for others its worse than the worst!
 
With BCIS anything can happen. It's really stunning to know that some one got FP within 8 days of RD date. His FP expiration seem to have triggered his approval (His FP is expiring on 12/30).
He might be one of the luckiest guys around.

Something is not right as its EAC# is not from Sept.

02-267 is comes in mid August of 2002. He might be con-current filer whose receipt was generated in mid September after initial scrutiny. May not be bogus.
 
expected/projected time frame of approval

Based on all known approvals and non-approvals. What is the current expected/projected time frame of approval? I am ND Oct'02. Should I expect it in 4 - 12 months. I know 4 would be like a dream come true. This approval has RD of later than mine -> so theoritically I could be approved tmrw. But I hope it will not be beyond 12 mo. I have seen Nov'01s still waiting. The median seems to be Feb/March '02. And ofcourse the BCIS projection is Jan'31'02.

One more optimistic theory

That is one more clever theory. If it is that way- then it should take max. 15 mo. from last FP. Nov'02 was my last/first FP- that would make it jan/feb'04. That would be more than great.

Having dealt with BCIS- I am more pessimistic than optimistic- being realistic I am estimating 4-12 mo. If I get it in 4 mo. I will so very gladly take it. Lets see.

Couple of weeks back I even saw a Oct'02 approval. Turns out that this guy is from Bangladesh( people of this country need a special registration ). So possibly since scrutiny is done during special registration his approval was relatively faster than others I guess.

Well let us hope that FP expiration theory is correct so atleast
we can expect a approval within 15 months rather than the current 21-24 months !!
 
I'm also Sept'02 filler, expecting the approval between 2 to 12 months. 15 to 20 % of Spetemberians may get approvals before their FP's expire, that is Jan 15 th to Feb ending.
 
FP theory seems working in some cases!

By looking at the trend of 485 approvals on the basis of FP expiration seems correct at least it gives some hope (leaving some exceptons).

winwin, what's you FP date (Could you please mention the date of FP done and the FP Results Received Date it says in the status message?) I am asking b/c my RD is very close to you and it would be good to see some Sep'02 approvals.

Hey guys-

NO confusions here...i just confiremed about the approval..Momin is my best friend. Infact he is shocked with this approval. He is going to Newark for stamping on Jan 6th.

All the dates on rupnet are very true..

By the way its not a concurrent filing.

Why don't BCIS give this type of shocks to every one ? :p
Let's hope the new year brings positive shocks to every one here.;)
 
Some guys are definitely luckier than others- best wishes to him. Hope some of it rubs on all of us.

My FP recd date is 11/29/02, I485 RD 09/19/02.
Momin's RD was 09/22 and FP 09/30- that is completely strange. I don't know how it is even physcially possible. My ND itself was 10/01- when my RD was 3 days ahead of him. Maybe APAAM can provide further details/clarifications.

Regarding the FP theory- If true- why are there so many 2nd and 3rd FPs- incl several recent ones.:confused:
