hi

i did my BE in electronics from india and 5 yrs of indian experience
my last job title in bangalore was "senior software engineer"
in india its common to give this title after 2-3 years

i joined my US co. on H1
my title here is "software engineer"

i am going to file eb2 perm
can this title mismatch create any problem?
 
Different companies have different ways of clasifying. As long as what you are doing currently matches up with the job description for Sr Software Engineer as specified by DOL, you can file under EB2

the job description says MS or BS+5 yrs of exp

I have 5 yrs of exp
my last job in india was sr software engineer, and i have experience letter for it

the problem is my being software engineer after sr software engineer

i m filing from michigan
 
DOL doesn't have a specific job description for "Sr" SW Eng. ONET only has 15-1031/32 (Comp. SW Eng). Am I missing something, please educate me?

The title doesn't affect the wage; it's the education and experience required. Go look on DOL website they have a link to the online wage library and info. You can get a worksheet and a guide that will walk you through the wage determination process.
