Sending EAD I765.. should it go to Nebraska or local service center ?

Hi, I just received my I485 receipt a few days back and am planning on filing my I765 for my EAD card. My company policy does not let me file along with the application, but I can do it independently afterwards.

Where should I send that form to ? Nebraska Service Center or my local INS ?

I am not sure. Check their website or give them a call. I am in Cleveland, Ohio. I found from their website that they handle EAD. So I went there and got it on the same day. What they asked were 485 receipt, money and ID (passport is not necessary). They took photo on the spot. The EAD looks lousy but it works.

Check with u\'r local INS office, if they allow walkin\'s then u can get EAD on same day itself.
 
My Lawyer\'s opinion

no -- the local INS will not issue EADs -- they will only issue the cards valid for a few months if your application is pending for more than 90 days at Lincoln.
