Hello Folks,

We have taken an appointment date for my mother-in-law at the Mumbai VFS Center, I read online that all the supporting documents should be sent to VFS at least 5 days prior to the interview date. As far as I remember, you take all your supporting documents in person at the interview and do not need to send them in advance, who has the time to see them anyway :D , most times, even at the interview they do not see the papers, why send them to VFS 5 days prior?? Any comments or experiences are aprpeciated. :)

Thanks.

Well Mumbai requires you to send the documents or else reschedule the appointment so it is your choice.

This applies only to Mumbai consulate as of now.

Thanks, I just got a confirmation from VFS Mumbai by phone as well as an e-mail that if you have scheduled an appointment by visiting an APPLICATION CENTER and NOT ONLINE, then there is no need to send any documents to them, you should carry the supporting documents directly to the interview.

HTH
