Send N400 for my son seperately? since no Selective service registration?

The folks at SSA are taking too long to register my son who turns 18 soon. I called and looks like i need to wait till at least till end of March or 1st week of April to get his SSA registration, without which we can't apply for his citizenship

The question is : Can I send mine and my wife application first? and send my son's application separately, may be, after say 10 days? Will there be any issues of splitting the application?

Yes, you can send in your applications now and son's later. In any case, you can't send in his application until he turns 18.
