Received USCIS email approval notices for my I-140, I-485s for all family members today (Nov. 17 2004)

EB2 RIR labor filed- Dec'2001 (Education : MBA)
State Labor approved: Nov. 2002
Federal Labor approved: Nov. 2003

I-140: ND: Feb. 19, 2004,
LUD: Apr. 13, 2004, Nov. 17, 2004,
AD: Nov. 16, 2004

I-485: ND: Apr. 2, 2004
FP: May 6, 2004
LUD: May 11, 2004, Oct. 27, 2004, Nov. 17, 2004
AD: Nov. 17, 2004

I thought I might need to wait another several months for 485 approval when I received the I-140 approval email this morning since I submitted semi-concurrently, a long journey ended dramatically when I saw 6 emails in my mailbox. Good luck to those semi-concurrenters, you have good chances to get approval based on I-140 JIT rather than the I-485's.

Hi czy,

Your case is very similar to mine. Labor filed and approved roughly the same time. My I-140 and I-485 are a little earlier. But unlike you, I didn't get FP done until this month. My I-140 was approved this month, around the time I went for FP. The I-485 LUD was changed on 11/15 saying they received my prints. And it was changed again on 11/16, with no change in message, except for the date they received the prints (strange, received it twice?). Not sure what that means. But seeing that an April 485 is getting approved, I am a lot more hopeful.

Educate me!

I filed semi-concurrent 140/485 for me and my wife in March-2004, and we only has one WAC# for 140 and one WAC# for 485. Is this right? should we have separate 140/485 WAC# for me and my wife?

When I see people having multiple 140/485 WAC# for family members, does that mean each family member has his/her own 140 WAC# and 485 WAC#?

What and why this is the case for them?

Thanks

bsus,

Since you are the primary applicant, the 140 is only for you, hence only one I-140. But each applicant will have their own 485 application. Hence in your case, you should have 2 Receipt numbers (one for you and one for your wife). There must be two 485 applications filed which will generate two receipts in your case. Check with your lawyer and confirm that there were indeed 2 applications filed.....else you might have to file your wife's 485 immediately.

Good Luck. Let us know what turns out.
