Selling on eBay under TN

I am unclear about whether or not it's ok to sell things on eBay while working in the US under TN. The internet seems to have mixed messages on the topic. Some say it's completely fine, others say it depends on the nature of the sales (personal items vs manufactured/e-store). What is the rule on this? It seems like if it does depend on the type of sales, there would be a large gray area. And if it isn't allowed, when would this realistically become a problem? If trying to eventually get a GC? Would USCIS be able to demand eBay sales history, or just tax returns?
Thanks

Platforms offering quran courses online have made me think about side activities and what counts as work. What is the rule on this? Under a TN visa, you can only work for your listed employer. Casual sales of personal items on eBay are generally fine, but selling regularly or as a business could be considered unauthorized work. USCIS would typically review tax returns, not your full eBay history, so occasional personal-item sales shouldn’t cause issues, but running it like a business could create problems, especially if you later apply for a green card.
