I have a child in the US who is a student.
So she does not earn much
I want to apply for a SELF SPONSORED B2 visa to visit her
What are the docs that I have to get from my child?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

just a letter of invitation (which the visa officer) may not even look at, you will have to show that u have adequate means of supporting yourself financially and that you have enough ties to your home country.

You need a letter of invitation ,
You need a reason - Visiting your child ... You can also get a letter from the Univ / School should some event like Graduation be in the near future .

Like "bhoray" said You will have to show enough means to support yourself during your visit to the US and you will have to show strong ties to your place ( country ) which will show that you will come back and not potentially immigrate to the US . ( See Section 214-b )

Hi, you really do not "need" any documents from your child.

You will need, however, proofs of strong ties and sufficient economic means in forms such as, bank statements, properties, employment letters etc. Best wishes!
